What is the Phoenix Cup?

More than a competition.

The Főnix Cup was born from a simple idea.

For years, we have been observing the world of fencing, the competitions, the athletes, the coaches, and the families who invest immense energy, time, and sacrifice to help young people develop and experience the joy of sport.

While we see the results on the strip, less attention is often given to the people who make it all possible. To the parents who travel with their children weekend after weekend. To the coaches who work tirelessly behind the scenes day after day. To the athletes who may not always stand on the top step of the podium, yet prepare and fight with the same determination.

The Főnix Cup was created because we believe that the fencing community deserves even more than this.

We don't just want to organize another competition.

We want to create an event that generates real value for all participants.

The athlete at the center

Victory and defeat are natural parts of competitive sport.

At the same time, we believe that the true value of sport cannot be measured solely by results.

Behind every athlete are years of work, perseverance, and development. Therefore, the goal of the Főnix Cup is to create a competitive environment where performance receives genuine recognition, and where as many competitors as possible can experience the feeling of success.

Our unique prize system has also been designed with this in mind. We don't just want to reward outstanding achievements, but to create a motivating environment that encourages development and inspires young athletes in the long term.

We also compete for families

Fencing is a special sport.

Behind most young competitors is a family that supports them for years in training, travel, preparation, and daily challenges.

As parents, they often spend long hours at competition venues while their child battles on the strip.

We believe that a competition is not just for the competitors.

Therefore, one of the most important goals of the Főnix Cup is to create an environment that offers an enjoyable experience for family members and accompanying persons as well.

With community programs, prize games, partner activities, and continuously expanding services, we want to ensure that visitors to the competition don't just watch the weekend unfold, but can actively participate in it.

Appreciation for coaches

Behind the success of athletes are always the people who work behind the scenes.

The role of coaches in fencing is invaluable.

They are the ones who build their athletes' knowledge, self-confidence, and personality over the years.

The Főnix Cup therefore places great importance on the work of coaches.

We not only want to acknowledge the value they create day after day, but also to establish a system in which their contribution receives due attention and appreciation.

A new approach to competition organization

The Főnix Cup does not intend to go against traditions.

Quite the opposite.

We build on the values that have made fencing special for centuries: respect, sportsmanship, perseverance, and continuous development.

At the same time, we believe that new opportunities lie ahead for the sport.

Our goal is to create a competition organization model that is more sustainable, more experience-oriented, and built on more professional foundations.

A model that creates value for athletes, families, coaches, and supporters alike in the long term.

The vision

The first stop of the Főnix Cup is just the beginning.

Our long-term goal is to create a multi-stage international competition series that will eventually extend beyond Hungary's borders.

We want to build events that are not just competitions, but true sports festivals.

Meeting points where sport, community, experiences, and development are all present at the same time.

We believe that the future of fencing is not only decided on the strip, but also in what opportunities, experiences, and values we can create for the entire community of the sport.

This vision guides the Főnix Cup.

And that is why we work day after day to make every single competition more than just a competition.
